Let Us Tell You About a Father Like No Other

Affectionately known as “Baame (a term of endearment meaning ‘my father’)”, Odion John Ohioze was the eldest child of Josiah Iboi and Ilekutu Ohioze. His father – Josiah Iboi – was Chief Ohioze Idu’s second son. His mother – Ilekutu – was from Ivbiodohen.

Baame suffered the loss of his twin brother, Omon, early in life during their teenage years. Baame had four brothers (Ayodele Robert, Eniafe Jim, Uzebu, and Ovbige Joseph) and five sisters (Yetunde, Eniola Yaya, Oense, Ijanmi, and Idelighian). Only two of his siblings (Mrs. Ijanmi Omage and Ovbige Joseph Ohioze) survived him.
